Visions for Independent Living has identified 85 popular categories that have been used over the years in Visions Picture Prompting System and has developed standard step-by-step picture and voice prompts for each of these categories that will be tailor made for the individual. Visions has also identified 200 of the most frequently used voice prompts over the years from Visions Voice Prompting System. You can select appropriate voice prompts and schedule the specific day and time for the individual. These pre-made categories for the picture prompting program, and the pre-made voice recordings for the voice prompting program, along with Visions’ software, form the basis for Visions Basic Design. When Visions Basic Design is installed in a computer, and combined with other appropriate computer hardware, software, and audio equipment, The Visions System has been created, and will provide prompts to a person with disabilities, and give them the opportunity for more independence, choice and control in their daily residential and community activities.

Choose your categories and corresponding prompts, and after receiving the Visions Presentation software, and the Visions Basic Design program you have selected, install the software and program into your computer and you have your own picture prompting system. You can now choose a category displayed on the computer monitor, or touchscreen monitor, from the ones you have selected, and follow step-by-step the sequential picture and corresponding voice prompts to prepare a meal, or prepare for banking, grocery shopping, or other residential and community activities.

If you need voice prompt reminders or directions throughout the day, once you select the voice prompts, and the day and time that they are to be played, you will receive the Visions Basic Design program with voice prompts already scheduled for time and day, and Visions Playwave software. After installing the program and software into your computer, you will have your own voice prompting system, and the voice prompts will play over your speaker system on the day and time you have chosen.
