SPECIALIZED CATEGORIES There are 80 categories that can be main categories or choice categories and there is no additional cost for these. In addition to these 80 categories, a person can select from 5 specialized categories. These categories must use materials from Visions Communications Collection ® and, therefore, there is an additional cost. [PP Cost] Even though there is an additional cost, Specialized Categories may be used as Main Categories to form the picture prompting program. For a detailed description of the materials for each Specialized Category, see Communications Collection under The Visions System. « Link to any of the Specialized categories of interest (shown at left) and review the prompt CHECKLIST. The Individual may choose any or all of the prompts. Prompts should be chosen to meet the unique needs of the Individual - not too many, not too few. In the Recipe and Meal Categories, there are no choices of prompts because they have been pre-made. An overview of the five (5) Specialized Categories are: 1.) Single Recipes for One (or) Single Recipes for Two----Includes main dishes, sandwiches, soups, salads, side dishes, fruits and desserts. Choose from 100 different recipes. 2.) Meals for One (or) Meals for Two----For
lunch or dinner 3.) Grocery Shopping ----Includes meal books, grocery item photos, and grocery picture list book. Must purchase Recipe Category or Meal Category because they are interconnected. 4.) Card Shopping----Includes 8 pictures of family members/friends that automatically come up on the touchscreen when it is their birthday, Family and Friends book with family and friend photos in the book, address labels, communication cards and/or transportation cards. 5.) Restaurants ----Includes 8 favorite restaurant pictures on the touchscreen for choice, Restaurant book with identical restaurant photos, communication cards and/or transportation cards. |
