Customization


The primary goals of Visions for Independent Living are:
1.) Independence, Choice, and Control in one's life
2.) Building self-esteem
3.) Reaching a person's potential
4.) Being successful in community and in one's residence
5.) and, having self-determination
To make this happen, Visions is committed to creating The Visions System so that individuals can reach these goals and meet their individual needs.
If a person needs more individualization, Visions will customize in many different ways:
 
 1.)  Functional Assessment to design The Visions System 
a.  Create Categories
b.  Evaluate the Community
c.  Develop a routine for Timed Voice Prompts
d.  Offer possible adaptations
2.)  Customize any pictures for the Picture Prompting System
a.  Visions will be happy to receive pictures that you have taken and replace them in the pre-made Category(ies)
b.  Visions will come to the Individual's community and residence, take all of the pictures that are needed to meet the individual's needs and replace them in the pre-made Category(ies)
c.  You may customize any and all of your Categories and Visions will help in the design and prompt development as well as install the new categories in the Visions Presentation Software
3.)  Customize any voice prompts for the Voice Prompting System and/or the Picture Prompting System
a.  Visions will re-do any voice prompts to meet the individual's needs
b.  Visions will customize any new voice prompts that are needed for the individual and will help in the design and prompt development
c.  Visions will re-do all of the voice prompts with the person's name at the beginning of each prompt
d.  The person can have all of the voice prompts re-done or customized in the voice of a familiar person
4.)  Customize any additional cards, pictures, books, or any other adaptations that have not been made in the Communications Collection
5.)  Training
a.  Visions will train after The Visions System has been installed
b.  Visions will train after new staff have been hired
c.  Visions will do a refresher whenever needed
6.)  Consultation (1 hr. telephone consult comes standard following completion)
a.  Visions will consult with an agency, family, organization to educate others on The Visions System and the benefits of self-determination
b.  Visions will consult with staff, family, individuals, agencies to support the success of The Visions System as well as work out any problems
7.)  Whatever you need, let us know and we will make every attempt to accommodate.
